Dr. Pasek is a practitioner, educator, writer and consultant. Her career began as a practicing veterinarian in Southern California after graduating from Colorado State University in 1990. In 1993, she returned to Colorado State to further her skills in the - then new- arena of Human-Animal Bond Studies. The “relationship” part of practice is what initially drew her to veterinary medicine and this is what fuels her excitement about practice today. Incorporating this focus, she has been an active practitioner in the community while volunteering her time on numerous committees and boards. In 2009, she continued her pursuit of celebrating the “Relationship” by receiving a Credential in Veterinary Family Practice from the University of California at Davis.

She has been an active educator since 1999 when she joined the Los Angeles Pierce College RVT School as adjunct faculty. She has held 3 additional teaching positions in California at Moorpark College, Professional Veterinary Assistant School, and the University of Davis Community Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital.   She has extensive experience creating and writing course curriculum and workshops, including a 2009 State of California approved  RVT Educational Curriculum qualifying registered veterinary technicians to sit for the California State Board Examination.

She has also written a Pet Loss Support Book entitled Honoring the Journey: A Guided Path Through Pet Loss © 2008. This 150-page gift book captures the reader with powerful illustrations and raw emotion to assist the healing process one must face when a pet has died.  The book is unique in its symbolism and style offering affirmations to replace the pain that one feels while still honoring the path of grief and healing.

Dr. Pasek currently has a large scoop of practice, which includes an In Home Veterinary Care and Consultation Practice which has a special emphasis in Family Practice, Quality of Life Concerns and End of Life Care. She also enjoys lecturing and teaching to both the Veterinary Community and Client Community, and consulting to veterinary hospitals, private industry, and the California Veterinary Medical Board.
